The program consists of two parts. In the first three years and a half, the mathematics education is given as equivalent to those in the Mathematics Departments of the Faculties of Science and Letters. The following one year and a half consists of Teacher Training Courses. The students who complete the five year program are granted an ME (without thesis) license.

The aim of the program is to train fully-qualified, hard-working, constructive and creative Mathematics teachers who will teach the generations to come, by considering the national requirements, and keeping abreast of the state-of-the-art science and technology.

The graduates of the program may work in both the state and private secondary schools, under the Ministry of National Education besides private institutions offering specialized courses. They may also serve as Research Assistants for their future careers at state of foundation universities.
