The Department admits students depending on the Verbal points.
The aim of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Teaching is to educate future teachers of Turkish Language and Literature, which ranks the first priority aim of our country, and to enable our own people, the Turkic world and the world's Turkology centers to gain fully qualified teachers, researchers, experts and scientists for the education and training of the Turkish Language, Turkish Literature and Turkish Culture.

The Department educates future teachers of Turkish Language and Literature. A program covering a preparatory year preceding five years, is given. The graduates are entitled to become teachers of Turkish Language and Literature and to receive a MA License (without thesis). The department also provides the students with a sound basis on teaching formation, occupational research, personal development and creation of methods for innovative and new ideas etc.

Graduates of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature may work as teachers in State, funded and occupational schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education and private institutions.They may also work inn the Turkic world, foreign Turcology centers, TRT and other mass media institutions, foreign educational and cultural institutions, Archives and the State and private institutions concerning with the Central Asian countries.
